Extraction Process

Undiscovered asteroids need scanning before an extraction process can begin. The scanning can only be activated once the ship reaches the asteroid, meaning the distance to the asteroid is 0 SU.

Scanning and Extraction activites are only available when the ship is "zoomed" in, i.e. when the LPOI widget is engaged.

Asteroid Scanning

Astreoid scanning can be initiated by clicking on the Scan Traget button in the Ship Details widget or directly through the Astreoid Details window.

Optionally, scanning can be executed directly through the Asteroid Details window as well.

Extraction

Initiate the extraction process.

An extraction process can only be triggered on targeted and scanned asteroids. To initiate an extraction, click on the Start Mining button in the Ship Details widget.

Different types of asteroids require specific ships for extraction. Ice asteroids can only be mined with Ice-type ships, while Ore asteroids require Ore-type ships. This is indicated both on the Asteroid Details widget, LPOI list and on the Ship Details widget.

- Snowflake icon indicates Ice type ships and asteroids.

- Rock symbol indicates Ore type ships and asteroids.

Stops the mining process and collects the extracted amount of ice or minerals into the ship’s storage.

After completing the extraction process, the collected ice and minerals must first be transferred to the ship's storage using the Collect button in order to be able to proceed with the ship.

An extraction can be terminated at any time using the Collect button, otwherwise the time of the extraction may vary depending on the asteroid's size and the ship's storage capacity.

Warp the ship back to the hangar

To transfer the content of the ship's storage into the warehouse, the ships frist needs to be warped back to the Hangar. This can be done by clicking on the Warp home button in the Shid Details widget.

Once the ship is docked in the hangar, it's state will change to "Docked", in the Ship Manager widget.
