The Ship Details widget displays all the ship's stats, including the ship’s name, type specifications, condition, fuel and storage levels, and current state. It also allows to control the ship with different control buttons, depending on the ship's' type and state:
- Brings the ship into the view when its deployed in a sector.
- Opens the list of available destinations where the ship can travel. Depending on the current zoom level, the list will either show POI (points-of-interest) in the Starmap view or LPOI (local-points-of-interest) in case an actual ship is inspected.
The State bar in the Ship Details widget provides information about the current actions or activities the ship is engaged in. It indicates the progress of these ongoing activities.
Extracted items in Storage can be inspected for more details or removed. Each ship's Storage has a limited capacity, so it is advisable to carefully manage which items to keep.
To remove an item from Storage, first select the item to highlight it, then click the Discard button, and choose the amount that you want todiscard.
The stored ice and minerals can be then unloaded into the warehouse using the Unload button.
Refueling is only permitted on docked ships. Ships that are warped into sectors can be returned to the hangar by clicking the "Warp Home" button. Both types of fuel—STL (slower-than-light) and FTL (faster-than-light)—can be refilled during refueling.
Fuel types can be selected in the header of the Refuel popup.
Cosmic radiation and external forces can seriously damage ships over the time they spend in space. All ships, therefore, need constant maintenance.
- Unload the extracted ice and raw minerals into the warehouse.
- Restores the ship’s condition.
- Scans the asteroid
- Initiate the extraction process.
- In case there is an ongoing extraction, it stops the mining process and collects the extracted amount of ice or minerals into the ship’s storage.
After extraction, all collected ice and minerals are moved to Storage. The ship’s Storage is accessible through the arrow iconon the storage level bar in the Ship Details widget.
