# Local Points of Interest (LPOI)

To switch from [**POI**](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/points-of-interest-poi.md) to [**LPOI**](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#local-points-of-interest), select a desired [interplanetary sector](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#interplanetary-sectors) and click on the **Zoom into Sector** option or inspect a given [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details) in that particular [sector](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#interplanetary-sectors). [**LPOI**](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#local-points-of-interest), unlike [**POI**](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/points-of-interest-poi.md), also lists all [asteroids](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md) in the given [sector](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#interplanetary-sectors) with their type and distance to the [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details).

Zooming into a [sector](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields.md#local-points-of-interest) is only possible if a [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details) is already located there.

The user can select an [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md) from the list for the [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details) to navigate to. Traveling to an [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md) will require a specific amount of [**STL** fuel](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/production/manufactory-complex/fuel-production.md#stl-fuel) and time (**ETA** - Estimated Time of Arrival), which is indicated for each [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md).

Once a movement has been initiated, the [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details) cannot be stopped nor can the movement be interrupted. The [ship](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar.md#ship-details) will arrive based on the highlighted **ETA** for the selected [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md).

## Asteroid Details&#x20;

Once an [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md) is successfully [scanned](#asteroid-scanning), it can provide further information about its size (in m3), composition, density, and resistance score via the **Asteroid Details** [window](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map.md#window).

All scanned information is retained and accessible to all players, until the [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md) is fully depleted, leading to its disintegration.

Clicking on the **Information** icon <img src="/files/ij6sO5Mq1oMsSHOjGFvu" alt="" data-size="line"> on the selected [asteroid](/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories.md), will open the **Asteroid Details** [window](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map.md#window).

The **Astreoid Details** [window](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map.md#window) can also be accessed through the Astreoid Icon <img src="/files/RCktbF2L5EDGTVzhVSTo" alt="" data-size="line"> in the header of the [**Ship Details**](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/ship-details.md) [widget](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map.md#widget) when inspecting a ship (resp. when the [**LPOI**](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/local-points-of-interest-lpoi.md) [widget](/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map.md#widget) is active).
