# Local Points of Interest (LPOI)

To switch from [**POI**](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/points-of-interest-poi) to [**LPOI**](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields#local-points-of-interest), select a desired [interplanetary sector](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields#interplanetary-sectors) and click on the **Zoom into Sector** option or inspect a given [ship](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar#ship-details) in that particular [sector](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields#interplanetary-sectors). [**LPOI**](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields#local-points-of-interest), unlike [**POI**](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/points-of-interest-poi), also lists all [asteroids](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories) in the given [sector](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields#interplanetary-sectors) with their type and distance to the [ship](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar#ship-details).

The user can select an [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories) from the list for the [ship](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar#ship-details) to navigate to. Traveling to an [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories) will require a specific amount of [**STL** fuel](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/production/manufactory-complex/fuel-production#stl-fuel) and time (**ETA** - Estimated Time of Arrival), which is indicated for each [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories).

Once a movement has been initiated, the [ship](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar#ship-details) cannot be stopped nor can the movement be interrupted. The [ship](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/hangar#ship-details) will arrive based on the highlighted **ETA** for the selected [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories).

## Asteroid Details&#x20;

Once an [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories) is successfully [scanned](#asteroid-scanning), it can provide further information about its size (in m3), composition, density, and resistance score via the **Asteroid Details** [window](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/gameplay/star-map/..#window).

All scanned information is retained and accessible to all players, until the [asteroid](https://farfromhome.gitbook.io/galactopedia/basic-game-pillars/star-systems/asteroid-fields/asteroid-categories) is fully depleted, leading to its disintegration.
